Sole Fitness E25 Elliptical Trainer Review
The E25 offers a quality that you would only expect in a gym or fitness center. There is no skimping out on quality here, and that is evident from the start. Many elliptical trainers are flimsy and break rather quickly, but not the E25.
Heavy, this model comes in a box weighing 80 kilograms, and you’ll need some help bringing it in the house.
In total, it takes about 40 minutes to assemble the treadmill. You might be able to assemble this unit faster, but the main component’s weight slows things down as you’ll need help moving it. But once everything is together, there are roller wheels that allow you to move the E25 without any help needed.
Definitely use a lubricant on the runner during assembly to ensure that the unit is quiet.
Featuring a single track, you’ll quickly notice that you can adjust the resistance from the handlebars, which is worth every penny. With 20 resistance levels, you’ll be able to go from light resistance to a gut-wrenching workout that will leave your legs sore for days.
And there are a lot of program options to choose from:
- 10 manual programs
- 5 presets
- 2 user defined programs
All of the programs work within the following categories: hill, fat burn, interval, cardio and manual.
This allows you to truly customize your session and get the best workout possible in the process. And the built-in, 6.5” LCD screen allows you to track your progress along the way. Pulse sensors are built into the stationary handlebars, or you can use the included heart rate strap to monitor your statistics.
What’s neat is that the foot pedals feature a 2-degree slope to avoid the unwanted side-to-side motion experienced with a lot of elliptical machines.
The monitor features:
- Heart rate
- Calories burned
With heart rate programs and true customization, it’s easy to see why the E25 is one of the industry’s top elliptical trainers.
- Sturdy build that will last for years
- Monitoring is accurate
- Easy to change resistance right on the handlebar
- Several programs and presets to cycle through
- Extremely heavy
I tried long and hard to find something I didn’t like about this model, and I failed. Aside from it being heavy, it’s one of the few elliptical machines that truly excels. With in-depth monitoring and well-thought-out features and presents, the E25 is the best elliptical in this price range.
