Looking for cross trainer advice? I was, too!
At-home fitness is important, especially after you realise just how unfit the world has become. Taking charge of my health – without relying on gyms or fancy fitness centres – was one of the best decisions of my life.
I’m Dan Rogers. Father. Computer programmer. Web Researcher. Fitness enthusiast. I’ve run a few websites before, but I never seem to stick to them for two reasons: I choose sites I’m not interested in, and my sites were not designed to help anyone.
What Makes Cross Trainer Advice Special To ME?
I have been big into fitness for well over 15 years. Indoor and outdoor training has been an integral part of my daily routine for years. I eat well, train hard, and do most of my workouts from the comfort of my home when work is busy.
Training comes natural to me. I have always had a knack for teaching others. I’ve run fitness classes before. I’ve helped people lose weight, build muscle and get healthy. Cross Trainer Advice is my outlet to help others get fit. I have a real potential to reach a wide audience with my site – an audience that can grow fit together.
My site includes my own personal knowledge, learned over the years and an immense amount of research.
There’s a lot of “noise” in the fitness industry, but science is the one way that I can break through all of the misinformation. I dig deep into research, I learn and follow the world’s best trainers, and I’m passing the information on to you, my readers.
I’m here to teach you a lot about fitness, but I’m going to teach you about exercise machines, too. I break through the good and bad of each machine. Why? Your fitness journey relies on an exercise machine worth buying. The machines you purchase can enhance your results, meet your goals and be the best you possible.
What Does Cross Trainer Advice Provide You?
Cross Trainer Advice has been a long time in the making. I have always wanted to share my knowledge with others, and that’s what really makes this site unique. Other similar sites will review any product for a pence,
That’s not my goal here.
When you read my reviews, you’ll be learning about:
- Products I’ve personally researched
- Services I’ve personally researched
- Recommend products and services I end up using myself
But, over the years, I’ve decided to reach out to brands to learn more about their products and services. Brands are very responsive. When I reach out, I ask the product and service providers:
- What makes their product special
- About their warranties and guarantees
- Frequently asked questions that are often unanswered
I am persistent, and I leave no stone unturned to ensure that I know everything about a product or service before making my purchase. Sharing this information increases the quality of my reviews and the information that I provide.
Behind the Scenes at Cross Trainer Advice
When you’re reading through my site, I promise you that there’s a ton happening behind the scenes. I’m somewhat of a perfectionist. You’ll find that I have content on:
Behind the scenes, I have had a lot of struggles. I first started out with cross trainer topics. I felt great about providing the best cross trainer content, but then I started to research and educate my readers on other topics I researched.
As I’m getting older, I’ve found that I need to focus on specific movements to target certain muscle groups better than others. The specific movements that I need to add into my routine have all been possible with:
- Cycling
- Rowing
- Striding
My initial process is rather straightforward, as I sift through as many reviews on a product or service that I can. While I am in the UK, I will read reviews from consumers around the world and even the US.
Sometimes, there are reviews on a product that go overlooked because they’re on a different version of a company’s website.
Once I decide that a product is trustworthy and worth pursuing further, I will:
- Compare specs of the shortlist of models that I choose
- Read through the manual to learn more about the product
- Watch product videos and demos (YouTube is great for this)
When I’m done with all of this initial research, I’ll order products in, or I’ll go to a local store. I order locally so that I can try all of the products and make sure they meet my rigid standards.
It’s the only way to have and give an accurate comparison between products.
What’s Coming Next?
A lot. As I continue writing about products, services and other fitness training, I continue to expand on Cross Trainer Advice.
I reflect on how important and essential it is to have the right equipment and tools to train my body.
I’m currently:
- Exploring new forms of indoor training
- Expanding the categories of training currently available
- Exploring new categories to add to the site
What I really want to do is find new, fun ways to help make training for you and me more engaging and enjoyable. It’s a fun, exciting way for me to continue on my fitness journey and create a community of fitness enthusiasts.
I want you to be a part of this, too.
What I am asking you to do is come to me with any of your questions or recommendations. You can use the contact page, or email me directly at info@crosstraineradvice.co.uk. I will reply as soon as I can. Happy training!
