JLL’s CT600 PRO is an electronic, magnetic cross trainer. It is built for home use, but with a durability that allows for daily, continued use. Electronic magnetic resistance offers you 32 increments of resistance. These levels help you progress from a new fitness enthusiast to an athlete.
Gradual resistance changes add to the difficulty of the workout, while the 5.5kg flywheel provides a quiet, smooth operation.

The CT600 is one of the cross trainers that I was considering buying because of the vast resistance levels, workout programmes and in-depth monitoring functions. Customer reviews are very positive. I decided to do a lot of research into this exercise machine to see if it’s worth purchasing over other models.
Excellent from the first stride – build quality shows. The solid construction eliminates wobbling and feels more like an industrial machine than a consumer model.
i-console, an app, allows you to connect to the elliptical cross trainer. Through it, you can customise your workout routine for true, self-guided exercise sessions. Mastering the monitor functions is the first suggestion when buying this trainer.
JLL CT600 PRO Aspects Review
Monitoring Functions
Challenging yourself is the key to maximising your fitness levels and reaching your goals. Monitoring allows you to determine if your session is truly as gruelling as it feels when you’re pedalling.
Multiple monitoring functions, nine in total, are available on the display, including the option to monitor:
- Time: Precision monitoring of the time spent on the trainer
- Speed: The speed at which you’re pedalling
- Distance: The total length you’ve gone during a session
- Heart-Rate: Monitor your heart rate to determine the intensity
- Calories: Calculate total calories burned during a session
Heart-rate monitoring is one of the best opportunities to measure your intensity. The two independently moving handlebars have built-in sensors that monitor your heart. They allow you to engage in an upper and lower body workout at the same time.
If you don’t want to hold the moveable handlebars, there is a stationary bar. You can hold onto it when pedalling. The stationary bars are a good option if you want to increase your intensity and focus on a lower body workout rather than a full body workout.
12 Workout Programmes
Workout programmes are integral to your success. They enable you, whether you’re big into fitness or just starting, to begin an exercise programme in seconds. You can switch between these workouts right through the monitor.
Users can adjust the programmes to meet your fitness level and continually progress through your fitness journey.
The i-Console app is available in your app store, along with another app called “Kinomap”. The two apps allows you to dig deep into your workout data to strategically follow your progress. You can also create your own workout programme through the app. You can challenge yourself in a way that a built-in programme cannot.
Smart Build and Design Concepts
Users of all fitness levels and weights will be able to enjoy all of the exercise benefits that are offered through the JLL CT600. The elliptical cross trainer is built to withstand user maximum weights of 135kg – more than enough for most people.
When you step on the unit for the first time, you’ll notice how sturdy of a design it is.
The foot platform is designed to be non-slip so that your feet remain firmly on the pedal and don’t slip and slide around. Non-slip protection is provided through a textured base to provide the enhanced grip that you need to pedal hard through each session.
Stride length is a generous 50cm and allows or a full, large stride that improves range of motion while also ensuring proper form. You’ll find that the stride reduces strain on the knees and promotes proper posture. The long, sturdy stride gives you confidence when pedalling.
Magnetic resistance is important, although easy to overlook. When you use magnetic resistance, it provides:
- Greater overall consistency when adjusting resistance
- Much quieter operation versus other types of resistance
- Rapid resistance adjustments to increase or decrease intensity at will
You won’t have to deal with the frame wobbling back and forth because it’s built to be level on the ground and withstand even the most intense workout sessions.
The entire frame is made of steel, so it is designed to withstand even the most intense, rugged usage without concern that the unit will break in the near future. It’s a model that is designed to last and withstand immense use.
On a side note, the assembly process is relatively easy, especially if you have someone that can assist you with the assembly.
If you need to move the cross trainer, transport wheels will make it easier to move and require you to tilt one end of the trainer forward, which is much easier than it sounds.
Pros
- Over two dozen resistance levels
- Option to customise workout programmes
- Built-in workout programmes perfect for most users
Cons
- Noise
Summary
The JLL CT600 is fairly quiet, but there is a noticeable squeak on occasion, which may be a simple bolt needing to be tightened or possibly lubricated. Even the assembly process is fairly easy, although having a second person to help with the assembly is a good option.
JLL impresses with the CT600.
It’s a cross trainer that is slightly bigger than most consumer models, but it’s also one of the most durable available. When you take your first stride, you’ll notice that the stability level is far greater than most at-home trainers.
Maximum user weight tops out at 135kg, but that’s high enough for the majority of users.
Overall, the consensus of our JLL CT600 PRO elliptical cross trainer review is that this consumer trainer is closer to the quality of an industrial model at a lower price. JLL has created an elliptical that can last for years with long-term use at a price that consumers can afford.
