Ultrasport F-Bike Review
Assembly
The assembly process is surprisingly easy. You’ll find that you can easily assemble this model with just one person, and it seems rather robust and durable.
You may have the one screw or bolt that won’t go in easily, but this is common with most cardio machines.
In general, people have been able to put this machine together within 30 minutes without even having to look at the instructions. You don’t have to look at the instructions, so you know that this is a very easy assembly process.
Design and Build Quality
The Ultrasport F-Bike comes with a robust set of features and the design is very well done. It doesn’t wobble, and the noise is so low that you could listen to TV or cycle while people are asleep without any issues.
The unit does fold, so you can store it away and out of your room or flat.
If size is not a consideration, there are alternatives – here’s the best cross trainers – that would excel in other aspects.
Once you assemble this model, you won’t have to do much maintenance aside from the rare screw tightening. What I really do like about this model is that the seat adjusts and allows you to find the perfect positioning for your knees.
People that are shorter or taller that have problems cycling with a full range of motion will love the ability to adjust the seat up and down.
You can adjust the seat between 78 cm and 86 cm. This allows for more than enough room for people of all heights to use this bike.
But over a prolonged period of time, you may notice that the tip of the seat actually goes up a little bit. This can make cycling uncomfortable. Most people claim that it is only an issue if you’re going 30+ minutes on the bike.
Some of the main points to remember are:
- Maximum user weight is 100 kg
- Robust hand pulse sensor
- Fold away design
There are two-way ball bearings that allow you to pedal in both directions to work different muscles.
Your feet will slip perfectly into the pedals, and there are straps to keep your feet in place when you’re cycling. This is very important when you’re cycling rigorously and your feet tend to move on the pedals.
The handles are also really nice and keep your back in proper alignment while you’re cycling to reduce any excess strain you may experience.
Resistance
Resistance is provided with the precision resistance knob. You’ll have the opportunity to adjust between 8 different resistance levels, and each level gets incrementally harder. One thing to note about this model is that the resistance is not intense.
You’ll be able to increase your intensity, but it won’t be so difficult that you’ll be unable to pedal the bike.
Display
When you’re pedaling, it is good to know how intense your workouts are and how long you’ve been on the bike. There is a training computer with an LCD display attached, and this computer will display the following metrics:
- Time
- Scan
- Calories
- Speed
- Distance
- Pulse
Pulse monitoring is going to be one of the most important features available. The pulse monitors are attached to the handles, and they will allow you to see your heart rate on the display. When measuring pulse, you can be sure to keep your heart rate in a certain range to burn more fat and calories.
Surprisingly, a lot of users have stated that the pulse sensors are accurate. Accuracy with pulse sensors is very rare, so this is very impressive.
Price
You’ll be paying around £109 for this cardio bike. The price is one of the most affordable on the market, and this machine has very high ratings. People love it, and for the price, you won’t find anything else this good on the market.
Warranty
The Ultrasport F-Bike comes backed by a two-year warranty. All products from the company are subject to this warranty, and if your warranty does expire, you will be able to purchase spare parts on the company’s online shop.
The community managers at the company are very responsive, so if you do have any questions or concerns about your bike, they will answer quickly.
Pros
- Extremely quiet
- Variety of settings
- Stores away easily
Cons
- Highest resistance level is still easy
Resistance is severely lacking in this model. While there is a resistance setting, and you will notice a little bit of a difference in intensity, it is not the strongest form of resistance available. If you’re an avid biker, you’ll find that the resistance is very easy for you.
But if you’re just starting out or an intermediate cyclist, the resistance level should suffice.
Conclusion
The Ultrasport F-Bike is one of the most recommended cardiovascular bikes for people on a small budget. While this machine is well-made, the resistance levels are the one drawback. Advanced cyclists may find the resistance to be too low.
But if you are intermediate cyclists and you want to get a great workout at home, this is more than enough to achieve your goals.
For anyone looking to cycle while sitting at a desk, there are compact elliptical.
You can easily move the bike around due to the lightweight design, assembly is a breeze and you can fold it up and put it in a corner when you’re done with it.
Pulse sensors and a well-built computer display allow you to understand how intense you workout is, how long you’ve cycled and if you’re cycling hard enough to lose weight.
Ultrasport F-Bike Model Comparison
Ultrasport offers four other variants of the F-Bike – F-Bike Design, F-Bike Heavy and F-Bike Professional. The biggest difference between the four models is the maximum user weight allowed. Design and Professional supports up to 110 kg and Heavy supports up to 130 kg, which puts it with the much more expensive home exercise machines. Design and Professional also has an improved console with HR sensors in the handlebars. Professional is more adjustable.
You should know that different countries sell different models and that I couldn’t find any one place that offers all models.

F-Bike 150
The basic model Ultrasport make of the F-Bike, but with a new frame. No new functionalities were added other than the updated visuals of the machines.
F-Bike 200B
The 200B ads a backrest and magnetic resistance to the basic 150. The backrest is a popular upgrade as it offers lower back support and improves comfort. There’s no difference in resistance, but the magnetic resistance is much quieter and smooth.
F-Bike 250
With the 250 Ultrasport is adding app support – iOS and Android. This is the entry model for anyone looking to track their performance using a smartphone.
F-Bike 300B
A trainer looking for iOS/Android support and a backrest for comfort, the 300B is the model to go for. The added backrest is the main differentiator from the 250 model above.
F-Bike 350
The next model in the lineup has some small design features and a slightly higher maximum user weight to the 300B. There’s a redesigned console with a slot for a smart phone or tablet, and the frame is slightly curved. Ergonomics and frame rigidity are the same. The base of the F-Bike has wheels for easy moving.
F-Bike 400BS
The 400BS model introduces straps and bands for arms and legs exercises. This is the first model to offer additional workout options.
F-Bike Heavy
It’s not clear where the Heavy is positioned in the Ultrasport product lineup. It is low on features but is built the sturdiest. Its main feature is the maximum user weight of 286.6lbs/ 130kg. It is also the only model Ultrasport offer for users of this weight.
F-Bike 600
The 600 Pro is the first model in the pro series and it is more of a stepper or climber than an exercise bike.
F-Bike 700 Pro/ 700BS
The top of the line 700 Pro and 700BS incorporates all of the top features and builds Ultrasport has on offer. Difference between the Pro and BS is the backrest and workout straps.
